Interior Design Trends for 2025
Happy new year!
With January already in full swing, there’s no better time than the present to start thinking about your next interior project. Whether you’re looking to simply refresh your accessories, or fully re-vamp your space, we’ve got you covered.
Keep reading to see the top interior design trends for 2025 - from our very own interior design team!
1. Earth Tones
2024 first gave us a taste of this trend, and it’s here to stay - bigger and bolder - for 2025.
From chestnut browns to softer beige tones, brown in particular is having a real moment. Bringing a touch of warmth and sophistication to the world of interiors.
However earth tones like deep burgundy, moss green and warm terracotta are also set to take the interior world by storm. Adding depth and character to any space - oozing a timeless yet contemporary feel.
To really nail this trend, try colour washing a room in your chosen shade!

2. Sculptural Lighting
Whilst the main purpose of lighting within a space should always be functionality, we’re firm believers that it should also act as a focal point within the room, too.
2025 will see the growth in popularity of sculptural lighting within design - think minimalist fixtures with bold, statement shades and sculptural forms that act as a piece of art all on their own.
From oversized pendants to asymmetrical chandeliers, there is a range of lighting to suit any home or commercial space, adding both functionality and flair. This trend is a great opportunity to elevate your interiors without breaking the bank - adding visual interest while being able to keep the remainder of your scheme fairly simple.

3. Wooden Kitchens
Wooden kitchens are soaring back into the world of interior design for 2025. While paler, Scandi tones have been the go-to in previous years, this year will instead focus on natural oaks and rich grains - helping to create a sense of warmth, character and timelessness to any kitchen.
With the rise of eco-conscious design, wood offers a more sustainable option that compliments almost any home and style.
Exposed, natural wood brings a sense of calm to a space, and when paired with other materials such as marble, it creates the perfect contrast of texture and warmth.

4. Victorian Bathrooms
While there is still a demand for more modern schemes, 2025 will continue to see a rise in people opting for more traditional bathrooms in their homes - particularly the Victorian-style.
This trend is all about borrowing the romantic elements of this era and adapting it for the modern day. Standalone sinks with exposed pipework and roll-top bathtubs are key to nailing this trend if you’re in the market for a full re-model. However for smaller updates you can make, look to wall panelling, bold tiling and updating your tapware to antique brass accents.

5. Comfort is King
In the coming year, interior design will have a huge focus on comfortable and functional living.
For example, dining rooms are evolving to offer breakfast nooks or booth seating - offering a more casual and cosy space for guests to enjoy - as opposed to your standard breakfast bar & stools.
Living rooms are evolving too, with softer shapes in sofas and coffee tables growing in popularity - making the space feel more inviting and comfortable.
This trend isn’t just about the aesthetics, though. Layouts and room designs are evolving to prioritise how people live within the space, rather than just focusing on their visual appeal.

While some interior design trends can feel short-lived, the key is to focus on those with lasting appeal, that really align with your own vision. By prioritising flexible living, personalisation and sustainability within your design, you’ll create a space that will serve its purpose for years to come. Of course, the rest is down to personal taste!
